Vermeil is Sterling Silver plated with a layer of 24K Gold.

Both Vermeil and Sterling Silver will tarnish and should therefore be stored in the box that it arrives in. It should not be worn every day.

Vermeil and Sterling Silver jewellery should be removed before swimming, sunbathing, exercise, cleaning and putting on perfume as chemicals can cause damage.

Gold-filled jewellery is jewellery composed of a solid layer of Gold, typically constituting at least 5% of the item's total weight, which has been mechanically bonded to a base of either sterling silver or some base metal.
